KANNUR DISTRICT POLICE ATHLETIC MEET – 2014.

The 40th Kannur district Police Athletic Meet was held at Police Parade ground on 11/10/2014 and 12/10/2014.  Sri. K.P. Mohanan, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Printing and Stationery, Government of Kerala inaugurated the meet.  Police personnel from 4 Sub Divisions, District AR Camp and Special Units participated in various sports events.  Sri. Dinendra Kashyap IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kannur Range was the chief guest in the closing ceremony on 12/10/2014 and distributed the prize to the winners.  Kannur Sub Division won the overall championship in the meet.


INAUGURATION OF NEW BUILDINGS.


The new buildings constructed for Coastal police station at Azheekkal, Chakkarakkal Police station at Chakkarakkal and  District Police Complex at AR Camp, Kannur were inaugurated  by Sri. Ramesh Chennithala, Hon’ble minister for Home and Vigilance, Government of Kerala on 20-09-2014.  Smt. P K. Sreemathi, MP Kannur, Sri. A P. Abdullakutty, MLA Kannur, Sri. K M. Shaji, MLA Azheekode, Sri. K K. Narayanan, MLA Dharmadam, Sri. B.S. Muhammed Yasin IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, Coastal Security, Sri. N. Sankar Reddy  IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, North Zone, Kozhikode, Sri. Dinendra Kasyap, IPS, Dy Inspector General of Police, Kannur Range, Kannur, Sri. P N. Unnirajan IPS, District Police Chief, Kannur and other officials from Police, fisheries etc.. departments and people’s representatives attended the function. Office of District Crime Branch, Narcotic Cell and Vanitha Cell are also functioning in the new building of District Police Complex.



INDEPENDENCE DAY 2014

68th Independence Day was celebrated in a colorful manner at Police Parade Ground, Kannur.  Sri. Manjalamkuzhi Ali, Hon'ble Minister for Urban Affairs and Welfare of Minorities, Government of Kerala , unfurled the national flag and accepted the salute.  Platoons from Police, Excise, Forest, SPC, NCC etc.. participated in the parade.
